About FBH/History

In July 2011, Spokane Mental Health and Family Service Spokane merged to form Frontier Behavioral Health (FBH). FBH employs approximately 475 staff who provide an array of integrated services at 16 service sites throughout Spokane County to over 12,000 individuals and families each year. FBH is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization governed by a volunteer, citizen Board of Directors. In providing behavioral health services, we work with over 100 community organizations including hospitals and other healthcare facilities, law enforcement, social services agencies and public schools. This collaboration ensures that behavioral health services are not duplicated and the most efficient treatment is provided.

The sun in the Frontier Behavioral Health logo represents warmth, light, hope and the promise of a new day as it rises over the mountains to the east. The mountains depicted represent the topography of Spokane as well as the stability of the organization and our dedication to providing the best quality services to people who need them - past, present and future.
