Consumer Advocacy Resources Spokane Mental Health is committed to ensuring that consumers are informed of their rights during the course of their care. These rights are outlined in documents that are provided and available to consumers and their family members/advocates at the time they have their initial contact for services at SMH, and address such issues as rights and responsibilities, confidentiality, consumer complaint/grievance processes, and informed consent. These rights are summarized in the SMH Consumer Rights Statement, the SMH Notice of Privacy Practices Summary and the detailed SMH Notice of Privacy Practices. These consumer information documents are available in 12 different languages (SMH Greeting Letter in 12 languages), as well as Braille, upon request, for those consumers who prefer non-English versions. In addition, interpreter services are available for non-English speaking consumers.
SMH provides community mental health services as outlined in the State of Washington’s mental health benefit package provided through the Title XIX Medicaid Pre-Paid Health Plan through the state Mental Health Division and the Spokane County Regional Support Network.
In addition, consumers may access further information on the community mental health services and resources through the Spokane County Regional Support Network |
